Why is the driver being set to "Away" even though they aren't?

In the “Admin Panel - Dispatch” settings you might have set Device Unreachable to “Set to away.” This means that if the system did not get ahold of the drivers phone in the 30 second assignment time you have set, the driver will be set to “Away.”

If the driver’s internet conection is not reliable enough, and this happens too often, we recommend that you change this setting to “Do nothing” instead.
