To use the Admin panel and dispatch console you need a PC or laptop, you don’t necessarily have to have someone signed in to the dispatch console all the time, especially if you have a smaller fleet size, but we do recommend you have access to it set up. The tablet/mobile phones are for your drivers where they need to install the TaxiCaller driver app that receives the jobs from your dispatchers.

Hardware The computers to be used in the call center or dispatch, for smaller and medium sized taxi companies (less than 200 vehicles) a “normal” PC will be good enough. We recommend 4 GB RAM and at least a 2 GHz dual core CPU, so it doesn’t have to be very powerful. You also need to have a good and reliable internet connection to make the system run smoothly. We recommend to use Chrome browser when accessing the admin panel and dispatch console to view full functionality.

The in-car software, the “TaxiCaller Driver” app, runs on Android and iPhone devices. Our free driver app is available on both Google Play and the App Store.

Android is our main platform, and where we do the main development and offer the most functionality. We do recommend that you use Android devices, but iPhones work fine as well. The most popular choice among the drivers is an Android tablet with a 7" screen. However, any Android device will do as long as it has support for 3G and GPS and it has Android version 4.4 and iOS version 8.0 or higher.
