How do I connect SumUp to TaxiCaller?

We offer support for card present payments through the payment processor SumUp; https://sumup.com. To be able to use this you need to register for an account with SumUp and order a card reader from them. After having configured card present payments in your TaxiCaller account (instructions below), you simply log in to your SumUp account in the in-car device that you run the TaxiCaller driver app on when prompted to after having selected card present payment at the end of the ride.

How to setup card present payments with SumUp

1. Start by going to the general settings here: https://portal.taxicaller.net/dispatch/settings/general (click show advanced)
2. Under “Allowed payment methods” check the option “Card present”.
3. Select the processor SumUp from the drop down list next to it
4. Go to your vehicle profiles here: https://portal.taxicaller.net/dispatch/vehicles/edit
5. Edit your vehicle profile (expand editable options by pressing the arrow on the right-hand side, then check the box for “Card reader” next to Equipment.

After having done the above, you will have “Card present” come up as a selectable payment option when closing a job in the driver app. Once you have entered an amount and proceeded from this step, you will be prompted to log in to your SumUp account. Do this and then follow the instructions on the screen to complete the payment.
