What does "NET" stand for in the vehicle tab in the dispatch console?

“NET” means the drivers’ device is run on a “NET” fix instead of a “GPS” fix.

This means is that they either don’t have the GPS location services enabled on their device, or for some reason, the GPS receiver in their devices is not functioning properly. In this case, the system will rely on a “NET” fix instead, which uses the locations of nearby WiFi-signals to determine an approximate location of the device (vehicle.) This method is far less accurate than the GPS method and can also be quite sporadic.

We strongly recommend that the GPS is active and working on all devices. If it appears as though the GPS on the device is working correctly, please try restarting the device, as there can sometimes be issues causing the GPS receiver to simply stop functioning on occasions.
