Which documents do I need to send?

Usually, this is an operations permit or license issued by your local authority specific to the taxi or passenger transport industry.

A business registration, LLC/Incorporating documentation or Tax/VAT documents are not sufficient to enable the online booking features.

What if I don’t have an operators license or permit?

It may not be possible for us to enable access to the online booking platforms.

As the laws and regulations vary so much between different countries and regions, we simply follow the rules set out by the local authority in the area where you operate. However, there are often circumstances where there other factors to consider, so please let us know if you think that these regulations do not apply - If you’re able to provide a link to the relevant regulations which show you do not require a license from your local authority, please send us a link to the website which states the regulations for operating where you are, so we can review it.

Why do I need to provide this?

The requirement is in place to ensure that only fully licensed and authorized taxi operators are available for passengers to book through the online booking platforms. This is important for a number of reasons:

  • To protect the reputation and the reliability of the platforms.
  • To ensure passenger safety by only connecting them with licensed operators.
  • To protect all taxi operators using the platforms from unethical competitive activity commonly associated with unlicensed operators - such as price manipulation
  • To ensure trips are being conducted in line with local law and regulations

Can you just enable the online bookings now so I can test it?

We would need to receive a copy of the relevant license or permit before we can enable the bookings features, however, there is a demo version of the passenger app available for testing immediately in your dispatch console. Go to preferences and click on “Demo Passenger App” there, a demo version of the app connected to your account will pop up and you start making test bookings as a passenger would.
