Do you support PTB reporting requirements? (British Columbia, Canada)

Yes. TaxiCaller provides a fully compliant reporting solution for PTB (Passenger Transportation Board) requirements in British Columbia.

PTB reporting relates to job information and operational data that must be submitted to the government.

We have built a dedicated PTB report generator directly inside the TaxiCaller Admin system.

Where to Find the PTB Report

The PTB reporting page is only visible to customers operating in Canada.

You can access it via: https://app.taxicaller.net/history/custom-reports/ptb

Or, via the items of interest page on the Admin dashboard:

Admin > Dashboard > Items of Interest > Custom Reports

How to Generate a PTB Report

Generating a PTB report is straightforward:

  • Go to the Custom Reports page.
  • Enter your PTB credentials provided by the Passenger Transportation Board in the PTB numbers section.
  • Leave the Company Filters blank (this ensures full compliance unless specifically advised otherwise).
  • Select the required date range.
  • Download the report.

The file will be generated in the required format for PTB submission.

Important: Monthly Submission Requirement

PTB submissions must be separated by individual calendar months.

If your selected reporting period crosses into a new month, you must generate and submit separate reports for each month.

For example:

If your reporting period runs Monday to Sunday and Wednesday is the 1st of a new month:

You must submit:

Report 1

  • Monday 30th
  • Tuesday 31st

Report 2

  • Wednesday 1st
  • Thursday 2nd
  • Friday 3rd
  • Saturday 4th
  • Sunday 5th

If you do not split the reports by month, your submission may fail.

This is a submission rule from the authority, and although the system can generate any date range, the portal may reject cross-month files.

Automatic Submissions (API Integration)

It is possible to set up automatic PTB submissions via API.

If you are interested in enabling automatic submissions, please contact your Account Manager or reach out to our support team to discuss setup and requirements.
