How do I set up SMS notifications via Twilio?

TaxiCaller supports sending passenger SMS notifications via Twilio. Once configured, all SMS messages will be sent through your Twilio account instead of the Envelope App or drivers’ phones.

The integration is completed by our technical team and is usually finalized within a few work days, provided all required information is submitted.

Before You Begin

You will need:

  • An active Twilio account
  • A Twilio phone number enabled for SMS
  • Your Twilio Account SID and Auth Token

If you do not yet have a Twilio account, you can create one here: https://www.twilio.com/try-twilio

Step 1 – Request a Twilio Phone Number

Inside your Twilio Console:

  • Purchase or request a phone number.
  • Ensure the number supports SMS in your operating country.
  • Make a note of the full phone number (including country code).

Step 2 – Retrieve Your Twilio Credentials

  • Go to your Twilio Console
  • Navigate to Live Credentials.
  • Copy: Account SID Auth Token

Step 3 – Send the Information to TaxiCaller

Send the following details to our Support Team:

  • Twilio Account SID
  • Twilio Auth Token
  • Twilio phone number (including country code)

Our technical team will configure the integration and notify you once it is active.

What Happens After Activation?

All passenger SMS notifications will be sent via Twilio and you no longer need to run the Envelope App for SMS delivery.

SMS messages will be billed directly by Twilio.
