Why are addresses showing as numbers and codes instead of an actual address?

When you drop pins on locations which don’t have actual addresses, you may find a PLUS CODE displayed in the address field.

What is a Plus Code?

The Plus Code system was developed and implemented by Google Maps to help assign a “digital address” to areas where no registered address exists today. Instead of addresses with street names and numbers, Plus Codes are based on latitude and longitude, and displayed as numbers and letters.

How can drivers know where to go?

If a Plus Code is provided by Google Maps instead of the “correct” address, it will need to be manually edited. Dispatchers can enter the correct address BUT SHOULD NOT PRESS ENTER, simply click the mouse somewhere else on the dispatch panel and then continue to edit the rest of the job details as normal.

Will this affect passenger app bookings?

No. Plus codes will not be used on passenger app bookings and jobs will continue to be populated with addresses as they have previously.
