What’s New with Tariffs?
We’ve updated the Tariffs section with a new look and a simpler way to manage your pricing. While the layout may look different, don’t worry, the features and pricing options you’re familiar with are still there.
The basic idea remains the same - you create your prices, use Schedules to decide when they should apply, and Tariff Rules to control how they should apply.
The biggest changes are how the different areas are organised and how flat pricing is managed. We’ve also removed some of the complexity from the initial setup and introduced new tools to make maintaining your pricing easier.
This guide gives you a quick overview of what’s changed and introduces some of the improvements you’ll find…
Standard Tariffs
Your existing pricing remains in the new interface!
Standard Tariffs now have a more modern layout, with clearer explanations of how the different rates are applied.
We’ve also made the changeover speed and how it’s calculated visible. This is the speed at which a vehicle is considered to be moving slowly and determines when the traffic rate begins to apply.
A new way to manage flat pricing
The biggest change is how flat pricing between zones is managed.
We’ve introduced Zone Price Tables, providing a much simpler way to view, create and manage fixed prices between your Tariff Zones.
Instead of managing each zone-to-zone price as an individual flat tariff, your zones are displayed together in a single pricing table. Simply find the FROM zone down the left side and the TO zone across the top, then enter the price where they meet.
Zone Price Tables also include tools to make larger pricing setups quicker and easier to maintain, including duplication and CSV editing.
Tariff Rules
We’ve added the ability to apply time restrictions to your Date Rules, giving you more flexibility when setting up special or holiday pricing, without having to edit your regular schedules.
And that’s it!
The new Tariffs section may take a little getting used to, but your existing pricing concepts haven’t changed. They’re now organised in a way that’s designed to make future setup and maintenance more straightforward.
