Hi, I'm Eero, one of two brothers and entrepreneurs from Sweden, the land of Spotify, IKEA, and Volvo. Together, we are the founders of TaxiCaller. It all started when I and my wife were heading to a Leonard Cohen concert and could not find a taxi. There were no cabs and no easy way to find information to call for one. With a bit of frustration, I then and there decided to create an app to make it simple to find information on local taxi companies.
While developing this app, I studied the market and discovered that the dispatch systems used in the transportation industry could easily be replaced with an app running right on your phone. An idea sparked and I switched gears to develop a revolutionary cloud-based taxi dispatch system, which significantly lowered the cost for taxi companies and made them much more efficient.
My brother, Lauri, joined in on the fun, and TaxiCaller was created. It has been a success story from the start in 2011 and today the system is used by taxi companies in over 70 countries all over the world. We hope to welcome you to the TaxiCaller family, too.
