Once I have signed up for a VoIP service to connect to my account with TaxiCaller, what details do I need to request from my VoIP provider to be able to connect it?

First, you need to make sure that the VoIP service you sign up with has support for the SIP standard, as this is the standard our system is using. Once that’s confirmed, get the SIP user details from your provider. The specific details needed are the username, domain, port, password and for some providers, an outbound SIP proxy. When you have the above details, enter them into a dispatcher’s user profile after selecting the option “Enable phone”. The password is entered straight into the softphone inside the dispatch console.
