What is the TaxiCaller API?

The TaxiCaller API allows customers to integrate their TaxiCaller account with third-party applications or systems.

The most common type of integration is with platforms that send bookings directly into TaxiCaller Dispatch. In these cases, the API acts as the booking source for the jobs being created.

For example, some integrations involve taxi comparison apps that allow passengers to search for taxi providers in their area and compare prices.

Using the TaxiCaller API, these platforms can:

  • Check availability from TaxiCaller operators
  • Retrieve pricing information
  • Send confirmed bookings directly into TaxiCaller Dispatch

While sending bookings into Dispatch is the most common use case, the TaxiCaller API is also frequently used for data and reporting integrations.

Some customers use the API to automatically export custom reports from TaxiCaller into other platforms, such as:

  • Accounting systems
  • Business intelligence tools
  • Internal operational platforms
  • Data warehouses or reporting dashboards

In these cases, the report is created as usual in the TaxiCaller admin panel. Each report has a unique Report ID, which can then be used with the API to retrieve the report programmatically at scheduled intervals (for example hourly, daily, or weekly).

This allows operators to automatically sync operational or financial data from TaxiCaller into other systems without needing to manually export reports.
