In 2016, Taxi Omega had reached a wall as far as growth was concerned. The radio dispatch system they operated prevented them from increasing their fleet and growing their business. As a leader in the industry in their hometown of Irapuato, Mexico, Taxi Omega knew they needed to innovate and began searching for a solution. They found it in TaxiCaller's state-of-the-art system. 1 – Why did you switch to a digital dispatch system and what was it like getting started with TaxiCaller?
In 2016, the company was in a situation where it was not possible to continue growing. When we reached ninety-nine vehicles, we couldn't add more cars to the radio system with which we managed our entire fleet. We wanted a system that allowed for unlimited expansion.
When we debuted the TaxiCaller system, our team was skeptical. Despite the doubts we decided to test the system, starting with a small number of vehicles.
2 - At what point did you start to see company growth? And what was the most important factor in your success with the system?
We slowly converted more vehicles to the TaxiCaller dispatch system and, after a while, the company started to see gains. Two years ago, when we started using TaxiCaller, we had 100 vehicles. Today we operate more than 200 vehicles and we are growing continuously at a steady rate.
The most important factor in the process is understanding the technology and training the team on it.
We designated a small group of team members who, after they learned the system, guided the rest of the team through it. When the vast majority understood and had experienced the benefits of the system, there was no doubt about continuing to operate with TaxiCaller.
3 - How do you view the current climate of the transport industry?
It's complicated. The transportation industry, as we knew it, doesn't exist anymore. Taxi Omega was a pioneer in Irapuato, Guanajuato and our ability to continually adopt new technologies—combined with excellent customer service, punctuality, reliability, and fair prices—is the basis of our success today.

Test it to believe in the results. Start with a couple of vehicles and measure the impact of the system on your company priorities, then add more vehicles. The quality of the training for the team is essential for successful use of the system.
