On-demand transport

Transport that runs when passengers need it

Run on-demand public transport and community services with Flexbus on the same platform as taxi, shuttles and school transport. Lines with fixed stops and flexible areas, tickets in the app, orders from contract clients and an open API that connects your service to journey planners and MaaS apps. For operators running services for regional councils, towns and communities.

Flexbus

Lines with fixed stops and flexible areas

  • Build a line with fixed stops and areas drawn straight onto the map.
  • A stop can be served on every trip, or only when someone has booked it.
  • Timetables for each weekday, with times and boarding and alighting for every stop.
  • Bookings are gathered into one trip per departure, with control of seats and wheelchair places.
  • Your own ticket types and fares for the lines.

Tickets in the app

Passengers book and pay themselves

  • Choose the day, the line and the stops, or an address inside an area.
  • The day’s departures with free seats, and a warning when few are left.
  • Several ticket types per trip, and a return in the same booking.
  • Seats are held while the passenger pays in the app.
  • A booking reference straight away, and the trip can be followed on the map.

Integrations

Orders from other systems

  • Orders from contract clients and booking systems come straight into dispatch through our API.
  • Each order is confirmed, gets a vehicle, and the status is sent back, with no re-keying.
  • Those trips are planned alongside your own, with the same assignment rules.

Open API and webhooks

APIBook, change and cancel trips from your own systems, journey planners and MaaS platforms.
WebhooksHear straight away when a trip is created, assigned, started, completed or cancelled.
MaaSLet passengers book the service in the same app as the rest of their public transport.
